The L.A. River
Today, the L.A. River is going through much improvement projects. River entrances and bridges have been built, Bike and walking trails are newly paved, kayaking and fishing is available. Entertainment and Park venues are in the Parks near future. There are even plans to break the river's concrete floor and introduce trout fishing in the future.

River. 5 mins to Elysian Park or Dodger Stadium, 5 mins to Chinatown, 8 mins to Downtown, 12 mins to USC. Located next to Atwater Village, Highland Park, Glendale, Silverlake, Echo Park, Eagle Rock, Pasadena and convenient to Hollywood, Griffith Observatory and 20 mins to Santa Monica Beach (with no traffic, that is). Easy access to the 5, 110 and 101 freeways. Bus line is 2 blocks away on Riverside Drive. LA River has a trail for walking or biking that spans out 23.9 miles along the Los Angeles River.
